Full-time Research Assistant Position at Harvard

We are professors at Harvard looking to hire several full time research assistants for Academic Year 2011-2012. Our research covers public economics and the economics of education.

Current projects study the Medicare prescription drug program, the long-term impact of early education, tax policy, peer effects among siblings, the impact of time spent in school, and curricular reform. The research consists of compiling and analyzing existing data as well as designing experiments or collecting new data. A minor component of duties may consist of providing administrative support. Salary will be competitive.

Applicants should have strong quantitative and writing skills. Candidates with research experience are strongly preferred, especially those with experience in STATA, Matlab, R, or SAS. Candidates need not be economics majors, though they should have a strong interest and some experience with Economics. The ideal candidate would come work for one or two years before applying to graduate school in Economics or another quantitative social science.

To apply, please send resume, transcript, and writing sample to Jessica Laird at jalpernl@gmail.com
