Policy Fellows and Policy Associates
The Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC), a nonprofit policy research organization, informs and improves public policy through independent, nonpartisan, and high-quality research.
PPIC is looking for policy researchers to focus on the following major areas of California spending: K-12 and higher education, health and human services, and corrections and rehabilitation. PPIC’s Policy Fellows and Policy Associates write reports, engage policymakers, give briefings, provide media interviews and community outreach, and prepare grant proposals.
These positions require excellent research and quantitative capabilities and excellent writing and communication skills. Candidates should have significant knowledge, interest, and experience with public policy research and engagement at the state and local levels. Policy Fellows should have a doctoral degree and Policy Associates should have a master’s degree in disciplines related to PPIC’s policy priorities.
